The first results of the BUL-STOP study have been successfully presented to the international scientific community. A poster entitled “Controlled bulevirtide discontinuation in chronic hepatitis D: The D-SOLVE BUL-STOP trial” was showcased at the EASL Congress 2026, held from 27–30 May 2026 in Barcelona, Spain.

The poster was presented by the project coordinator, Prof. Heiner Wedemeyer, highlighting key findings from this important EU-funded research initiative. The BUL-STOP study investigates strategies for the controlled discontinuation of bulevirtide therapy in patients with chronic hepatitis D, addressing a critical question in long-term disease management.

The presentation at EASL — Europe’s leading congress in hepatology, bringing together thousands of experts from around the world — marks an important milestone for the project and underscores the growing relevance of its research within the global liver community.
